Common questions

What exactly is OpenClaw?

OpenClaw is an open-source AI assistant platform that you self-host. Think of it as your own private AI — like ChatGPT, but running on your machine, connected to your tools (Telegram, email, calendar, Shopify, etc.), with no data leaving your infrastructure without your say-so.

Do I need a Mac to use this?

No. OpenClaw runs on Mac, Linux, and Windows (via WSL). We can also deploy it on a VPS (like a DigitalOcean or Hetzner server) so it's always on, even when your laptop is closed. We'll recommend the best option for you during the intake call.

What AI model does it use?

OpenClaw works with any major AI provider — Claude (Anthropic), GPT-4o (OpenAI), Gemini, or local models via Ollama. You bring your own API key. We'll help you get set up with whichever you prefer. The model cost is separate from our setup fee.

Is my data private?

Yes. OpenClaw runs on your own machine or server. Your conversations, files, and integrations stay where you put them. The only external calls are to the AI model provider you choose (e.g. OpenAI or Anthropic) — same as when you use ChatGPT directly.

What if something breaks after setup?

Every plan includes at least 30 days of support. If something breaks or stops working within that window, we'll fix it. After that, ongoing support retainers are available if you want one.

How is payment handled?

We invoice via Stripe. Payment is due before work begins. We'll send a link when you book.

Can you set it up for a team?

Yes — that's the Business plan. We can configure multi-user setups, connect it to shared tools (Slack, CRM, Shopify), and build out automations your whole team benefits from.
